On May 31st, Dutch National Ballet’s newest Principal dancer, Yuanyuan Zhang will take the stage, offering her expertise through technique class, personalized coaching, and an engaging discussion on performance and career development.

Daily Ballet Classes

Over the course of two days, you will have the unique opportunity to take classes with both of our professional guest teachers. Each day, one teacher will lead the session, offering their unique perspective and expertise to help refine your technique and artistry. This setup allows you to experience diverse teaching styles and gain valuable insights from two accomplished professionals.

Variation Coaching

On May 30th, Florent Operto will lead individual variation coaching sessions, offering personalized guidance to refine your technique, expression, and artistry. On May 31st, Yuanyuan Zhang will provide expert one-on-one coaching to help you perfect your variation, focusing on musicality, performance skills, and technical precision. Both sessions offer the rare opportunity to receive tailored feedback from world-class dancers with extensive stage experience.

Discussion and Q&A sessions with Yuanyuan Zhang and Florent Operto

Join both professional guest teachers for an engaging discussion and Q&A session. This is your chance to hear about their journeys from students to professionals, gain insight into their careers, and ask questions about the challenges and triumphs of life in the dance world. This session is designed to inspire and offer invaluable advice for dancers navigating their own paths.

Pop-up Shop

Throughout the two days of the program, we will have a small Pop-Up Shop featuring a variety of small businesses, from dance stores to handmade dancewear. It’s a great chance to support local entrepreneurs and discover unique dance-related products.

May 30th Florent Operto

Join Étoile dancer Florent Operto for an inspiring day of training, coaching, and insights into the professional ballet world. With an accomplished career spanning major European companies and a role in the upcoming Amazon Prime series Étoile, Florent brings a wealth of experience both as a performer and educator. His masterclass will focus on refining technique, artistry, and stage presence, offering dancers the opportunity to elevate their performance under expert guidance.

May 31st Yuanyuan Zhang

Train with Yuanyuan Zhang, Principal Dancer with Dutch National Ballet, in a masterclass focused on refining technique, artistry, and expression. Originally from China, Yuanyuan’s journey has taken her from traditional dance to leading roles in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, and more. With experience spanning classical and contemporary ballet, she brings a dynamic approach that will challenge and inspire dancers looking to elevate their performance.
